How to Sign Over the Title to the Buyer
To do a title transfer in Arkansas, you can use the MyDMV service that Arkansas now offers.
With this service, the computer makes sure that the buyer’s insurance is valid and that the VIN is able to be transferred to a new owner. All new information is recorded there, and then the application is sent to the DMV for approval.
Most people still use paper forms to complete title transfers, which you can get from your local DMV office.
The fee for transferring a title is $10. There is a title transfer fee calculator available to help you determine if there are additional costs.
To sign the title, you will need to sign in two places. You will sign on the front and back where it states “owner’s signature” and “signature and address of seller(s).”
